Cand)ex features calcium undecylenate (a fatty acid that helps keeps Candida from converting to its invasive fungal form) as well as Pau d’Arco, berberine, and an enzyme blend formulated specifically to counteract the growth of Candida albicans and improve the intestinal microenvironment.
PLEASE NOTE: Individuals undergoing an effective anti-Candida program may experience a herxheimer (‘die-off’) reaction as the dying Candida albicans cells release toxins. These toxins are comprised of Candida proteins and other intracellular, yeast molecules that can cross the epithelial cell membranes which line the colon, enter the bloodstream and trigger an immune response.
To help reduce the discomfort of the ‘die-off’ reaction, patients need to drink plenty of water or teas without sugar, take buffered Vitamin C and consume 30-40 grams of well hydrated dietary fibre daily. This protective intervention will minimize the unpleasantness of the ‘Herxheimer Reaction’ by deactivating, absorbing and ridding the body of the toxins from lysed or dead Candida cells (may use Cool Blue to assist, and even Tranqwill in severe detox reactions).
